Where Did July Go??

July was a blur for the Laubach family! Since I failed to post anything this month here's the highlights...
The girls have played non-stop. It is fun to watch them playing so well together and becoming more entertaining everyday because now we have two imaginations running wild!!
Along with the creative imaginations comes the dress-up:

These are Mommy's shirts they made dresses out of one day

Preparing for a dance performance

Just a typical fancy day at our house!

Do you think this is a sign we should turn the AC up? Middle of July and they are walking around the house in their winter coats and scarves?!?!

Daddy was on the road a lot this month. When he was able to be home, he and the girls had fun rocking it out!

This is a video of Vivi showing Mommy how easy it is to play the guitar, even Addie can do it!

Mommy's Rock Stars!

Another video from the jam session

Betty Crocker has nothing on these two...okay so maybe we borrowed her mix!! Shh!

Yes, they are both wearing Cinderella costumes under their aprons and hats Mimi and G gave them for their birthdays! They were just trying to cook like Mommy does, in her fancy dress with an apron over it. Isn't it funny what they pick up on!?!

They did a great job taking turns and stirring very carefully.

Amazingly enough they didn't even lick the spoons until we were done mixing!

Oh yes, they mastered that part of cooking! Maybe this is what they've watched Mommy do??

Cleaning the icing spoons!

On July 25th, we celebrated the girls Great Grandma - G. G. Dot's 85th birthday. She thought she was coming to a simple family gathering but Mimi had planned a great surprise party with all the family, including two of her sisters and several of her friends. It was the perfect celebration!! It wasn't until 3 days later that we would realize just how special this party was, when God called G. G. Dot home in her sleep.

God, in all His Awesomeness, gave us an amazing day dedicated to celebrating her life and making sure she knew how much we loved her! The girls love birthday parties and had so much fun "helping" G. G. Dot with all the Birthday Girl tasks...
Blowing out the candles

And opening the presents

At her party she made a speech saying she hoped all of us would be lucky enough to live to be 85 and find ourselves surrounded by friends and family that love us as much as we love her!

G. G. Dot definitely made quite an impression on her great-granddaughter. Vivian had been outside my bedroom door when Dad called to tell me the news. I was crying and she climbed into my bed, snuggled up to me and asked, Mommy, if G. G. Dot's in heaven, why are you crying? It's exactly the attitude Grandma would have had!

G. G. Dot, we love you and miss you so much and can't wait to see you again in heaven!
