Princess Camp

What a difference a year makes! Last year was Vivi's first time at Princess Camp. She went with one friend and discovered another from her school was also at camp. I don't think she would have gone otherwise. This year, at 4, as she always reminds me, she went all by herself! Even after I asked her several times if she was sure she wanted to go, she just looked at me like I was crazy and said, Mommy if I don't have a friend when I go - I'll just make some!

Princess Camp is held at one of the dance studios in town. The girls go 9-noon, Monday-Friday. They learn about a different princess everyday, do crafts, watch a little princess movie, eat princess snacks, and learn a dance that they perform on Friday for the parents. It's adorable!

Daddy was on a trip during the week so we took pictures each morning to send him.

Each day she would come home and teach Addie what she learned, Addie can't wait to go next summer!

So graceful!

Heading to class on Friday, all dressed up and excited for the big performance!

Vivian's fan club!

Aunt Manmae even drove from Norman to be there!

Vivi during the first dance (back, center). Isn't this too cute, they even do a huge backdrop with the princesses dancing in a ball room.

This is the full video of the first dance. I was going to edit it down but promised to post it for family that couldn't be there!

We were SO proud of her! She got a big case of stage fright during the second dance and stood frozen in first position, with a huge smile on her face. By the end she had tears in her eyes and came running to us when it was over. Luckily, Daddy got to be there for the performance and a one of his bear hugs made everything better!

The girls ready for their "S's" from Aunt Manmae - eyes closed, hands out!

Opening her presents for doing so great!

Vivi and Addie with the huge princess balloons Mimi and G sent!

We couldn't be prouder of you Vivian! Not just for dancing so well but for being so brave, to go all by yourself and make new friends all week, to stand and smile even when you are scared! You will always be our Princess and we love you up to Jesus!!!
