Bus Rides, Birthdays and Treasures!

What a fun weekend! We went to Claremore Thursday night because Daddy had a program in Tulsa early Friday morning. The girls got a big surprise Friday afternoon...G stopped by after his route and gave the girls their own private ride around the block in his BIG school bus!!
Friday night we went to Tulsa and met Granny and Papa, and Lance, Jenny, Noah and Paden and Lee and Carol (Jenny's mom and dad) for an early birthday celebration for Granny!! It was lots of fun to watch the kids play and each one wanted to help Granny with the cake and presents!

Happy Birthday Granny! Thanks for letting us celebrate with you! We love you!

On Saturday morning, G sat the girls in the chairs and told them a great story about a lost treasure. You can't see Addison's face very well but she was captivated! It reminded me so much of the all stories he told Mandy and I when we were that age. Who needs books when you have a G that can spin tales this good?! At the end of the story he gave them each a "treasure chest". They were G. G. Dot's jewelry boxes filled with necklaces, bracelets and clip on earrings that the girls immediately put on "to get fancy!" G. G. Dot probably got quite a laugh watching that morning unfold!

Maybe it was G's great storytelling about a treasure hunt...but that afternoon the girls had Mimi up in their room and after a while I hear her calling downstairs for help. They had tied her arms and legs together and she seriously couldn't get out of it!! I have no idea where they learned to tie knots like that but we have natural Girl Scouts!

Thank you God for family! We love you all and had a wonderful weekend with you!
