First Grade Mother's Day Tea

What a fun day celebrating moms at Vivian's school!  When we arrived our pictures were lining the halls.  Above is the picture Vivi drew of me!!
The kids had made so many sweet things to share with us.  One was a page describing us.  Here's Vivian's.
My Mom
My mom is: special.
My mom loves to: play with me.
My mom does not like to: spank me and yell at my dad.
My mom spends her free time: napping and reading.
My mom likes my dad because: they got married and kissed!
I love my mom because: she is smart.

I loved this one so much I had to take pictures of all the pages.  Her drawings were just as cute as what she wrote!
My mom is a chef when she makes the best peas ever.

My mom is a teacher when she helps me with my homework.

My mom is a nurse when she puts a cold rag on my head when I have a fever.

My mom is a taxi driver when she drives me to my grandparents house and school.

About the Author, Vivian
Favorite Color - Light blue and light green
Favorite Food - Peas and brownies
Loves to - Read

Each class went on-stage and did a special something for their moms. In Vivi's class, they wrote on a star if they could give their mom one wish...Vivian's was so precious and different from anyone else in the class.  I knew she really put some thought into it.  She said: If I could grant my mom one wish it would be to spend more time with my Dad.

Our last gift was a story where they filled in the blanks.
My Special Mom by Vivian
My mother is the most wonderful mom in the whole world!  She is as pretty as a queen  and smells like a rose. She weighs 60 lbs. and is 6 feet tall.  Her favorite food is brownies. In the good old days when mom was little, she used to read with her sister. I think mom looks funny when she wakes up in the morning. I know she's really angry when she yells "Don't do that!" I wish Mom would read with me everyday.  I wouldn't trade my mom for gold. Happy Mother's Day!

Vivian, I had so much fun at the tea with you and am so thankful and proud that I get to be your Mommy!  I love you up to Jesus!!
