Easter Celebrations!

We started our Easter celebration with an Easter party and egg hunt at Addison's school.

Saying Cheese during the snack time.

Ms. Kaycie giving instructions to the class.  Since it was rainy outside, we stayed inside.  The eggs were all numbered and when she called out a number they had to find an egg with that number on it.  It was a great way to change up the egg hunt and keep them learning.

She found one!

On Saturday, we spent some family time.  We opened Easter baskets and had a hunt around the house.

It amazes me how quickly kids pick up on how to hunt for eggs.  Emerlyn was a pro in no time!

That evening we got dressed up and went to the Saturday evening service at church.

This is the closest we got to a family picture this year.  It was just impressive we were all dressed and there!

On Sunday, we went to Mimi and G's to visit and check on G who had just gotten home from the hospital after his second knee replacement surgery.  We thought these smiles might make him feel better faster!

It was a beautiful day to hunt a few eggs outside too.

Throughout all our egg hunts and celebrations we took time to thank God for sending His Son, Jesus Christ, who died for our sins, rose from the dead and lives today!  Vivian especially was excited to celebrate this year because as she reminded us, "This is my first Easter to celebrate as a Christian!!!"  Thank you Father for the great reminder of the real reason for Easter celebrations!
