We woke up refreshed and decided to take in a little shopping at the Venetian this morning.
G and the girls thought the entertainment was far more interesting than the shops!
They especially loved this lady. I'm pretty sure the girls almost emptied G's wallet taking money up to have their picture made over and over!
We took an indoor ride on the gondolas. It was very fun and our "driver" was awesome. When he found out we were here celebrating Vivian's birthday in addition to the Pageant, he serenaded her with Happy Birthday in Italian! 
She had decided earlier not to wear her sash again because she thought she'd been sung to enough and was starting to get embarrassed but after hearing this version she said - Well, I've never heard it sung like this before!!
Then it was time to get ready for the Miss America Pageant!

After they called Betty in the Top 10 they moved her parents down to the very front and Mimi and Vivian got to move down into their seats! This was a screenshot my cousin, Emily sent me of her television!! We were so happy we recorded the pageant at home so we got to see them on TV too!!
After the most exciting night of cheering until we were about to drop! Betty was 1st Runner Up to Miss America!!! We could not have been prouder of her! She said immediately after that yes, she would have loved to have been Miss America but she trusted the plans God had for her life and would look forward to whatever else He had in store for her. - Just a glimpse at how beautiful she is inside and out!!
It took much longer for the girls to get over it! They thought there must have been a mistake because they were certain Betty was the BEST!!
We had dinner at the Sugar Factory, well most of us did. The wait for dinner and the excitement from the evening proved too much for Addison Grace and she fell asleep in Mimi's lap before her food even arrived!!
