Vivian's Birthday - Miss America - Vegas - Day 1

We celebrated Vivian's 7th Birthday with a big surprise!

It started with the usual breakfast donuts although this time Mimi and G and Granny and Papa came too!

After breakfast Vivian watched a special video on the TV from Betty Thompson, Miss Oklahoma, our client and friend!

After the video, Vivian was looking at us not completely certain what was going on until we wheeled her suitcase (and Addison's) from around the corner and said - this means instead of school today, we're going to the airport and getting on a plane to go watch Betty in Las Vegas! (Insert lots of squeals here and tears from Mimi and I)!

Emmy took not going pretty well and got to play at Granny and Papa's instead.

Miss Birthday Girl - Ready to jet

As an added bonus, Mimi and G got to go too!

As soon as the plane was in the air, the flight attendant came over the loud speaker and told the plane we had a special birthday girl on board. The entire plane sang Happy Birthday to her and the flight attendant brought her a cookie cake I had smuggled on board in my carry-on! - Thank you Southwest!!

Riding in style - a limo from the airport to the Flamingo Hotel!

The fountains at the Bellagio were a huge hit with the girls. We saw them during the day and at night.

The girls thought Vegas was just like Disneyland with all their favorite characters walking around. Some of them looked pretty sketchy but we found several that were fun to take pictures with.

Welcome to the Flamingo! We were originally suppose to stay at Planet Hollywood where the Miss America Pageant was held but due to over-booking we were bumped to their sister property. Although the adults were a little disappointed at first the girls couldn't have been happier staying at a hotel with pink everywhere!

Vivian wore her Miss Birthday Girl sash all day and was stopped everywhere we went with people either wishing her a Happy Birthday or even bursting out in song!

Next stop - M&M World!

For birthday dinner, Daddy made reservations at Serendipity. It was perfect! Delicious food and very fun atmosphere!

Another round of Happy Birthday and a huge dessert equaled the perfect ending to a very exciting 7th Birthday!!

We love you Vivian Claire! Thanks for letting us share in your celebration! We will always remember this birthday for sure!!
