Vivian's First Day of First Grade!

It is hard to believe but Vivian is starting First Grade this year!

Ready for the first day of school

She started with taking her lunch, tried the cafeteria a couple times and has gone back to taking her lunch. The fun of eating the school food wore off pretty quick.

Glad to see friends on the first day!

We didn't find out her teacher until the day before school. She was SO excited to have Mrs. Spitler! She had prayed all summer that she would get her.

Getting right to work!

On the first Friday of every month, the school has Spirit Day. They were their school t-shirts and get popcorn during class. This was Vivi's first spirit day this year.

First graders have to do a family project every month. Everyone in the family works on it together but Vivi has to do the majority. The first assignment was to create an apple and the only rule is that it has to hang on the wall. Vivian quickly decided to make a sparkly apple with sparkly stem, leaf and even a sparkly worm! We had glitter everywhere!
