The back-story: Vivian came home from school one day and wrote on her wall with a sharpie. To help her remember that we do not write on walls, we stripped her bedroom of all her pictures, decorations, etc. for one month. (Vivi loves to hang up her artwork from school each day so this was very disappointing for her).
Then one day Emerlyn requests a visit from her Mimi.
Click here to watch the video we texted her. Emmy Kate is very persuasive!
So, Mimi comes to play and it happens to be the day Vivian gets to put her stuff back in her room. While she's playing in the girls' rooms she starts getting ideas and before we know it we are in the middle of our own version of Extreme Makeover! This is a picture of our supply run! It was hilarious!! We literally had supplies stacked up on our heads!!
Here's how Addison's room turned out.
We moved all the furniture around and gave her lots more space to play! She was so excited and loved all the changes!
Here's Vivian's room.
We decided to make an upholstered headboard (explains the giant supplies). It turned out pretty well. If I ever make another I will cut the boards more dramatically. I was trying to keep it simple but the slope gets a little lost. Vivian loved it though so that's all that matters to me!
We also made a place for her to hang her art work and special things from school. She can hang as many things as she likes but they have to fit on the cork board space. It's a great way for us to keep her from having pictures taped to every inch of her room and it makes a really cute display for her work!
Emmy didn't get her room done but she loved all the changes for the girls and getting to see Mimi!
Thank you Mimi for all your creative ideas and hard work! The girls LOVE their new rooms and we love you up to Jesus!!!
