Colorado Family Vacation!

What a fun way to kick-off summer and celebrate G's Birthday and Mimi's retirement! The family (Mimi, G, Manmae, Uncle Adam, and the four of us) drove to Colorado and spent 5 days resting and playing!
At one of our stops the girls found this really fun tree in a McDonald's. It had a button on it just their height and it played "It's A Small World" EVERY time you pushed the button!!! If there are any restaurants struggling with turning tables, I would highly recommend adding a tree like this! All the adults were cramming their lunch and begging to get back in the car and drive!!!
We didn't do too many activities this time but the girls were insistent about wanting to go on a pony ride again. Quick back story, the first time we went to CO 2 years ago, Vivian was so excited to ride the pony so we took her and she refused to even get on it. She did end up walking next to me as I walked the horse around the ring. This year she was out to prove she wasn't scared anymore!

Mimi, Manmae and Uncle Adam decided to ride too!

Mission accomplished! We made it on the horse this year. The ranch we went to said they had ponies but when we got there they were really regular horses they said were very docile.

Addie made it on her horse too!

Off to a great start...

And we're done! Yes, we drove one hour each way and paid $50 (was suppose to be for up to a 1/2 hour) for both girls to each circle the arena 1 time on the horse and 1 time helping us walk them!!!
1/2 way around the first lap on the horse, Vivi's horse sneezed and Addie's stopped to poop and there was no recovering! By the time we finished that lap both girls were crying and saying they were done!!!

We were proud of them for even trying this year!! And the real super-star of the ranch was their Daddy!! Having proven back in October with our ER visit he really is allergic to horses, he still went with us, walked next to the girls while they rode and encouraged them the whole time!!

One day after shopping and eating at a delicious bakery we went to a glass blowing store and Rhett even got to try his hand at it - he did great but it was a unanimous decision he keep speaking!!

Enjoying the beautiful weather and scenery while we shopped the outlets!

Vivi's turn

What an awesome trip! Thank you Mimi and G for letting us go with you!! We're already looking forward to the next one!
