Happy Easter!

How could the celebration of our Risen Savior be anything but Awesome!?! We had a great weekend with lots of family and fun!

The girls woke up Sunday morning and found their Easter baskets. Vivian dove in and went through each item with enthusiasm.

Addison told us she wasn't sure she could look through her Easter basket until she'd had a donut! (Donuts are a special treat from their G!! He'd gone the night before to make sure the girls would have them whenever they woke up!)

My attempts to get both girls to look at the camera and smile at the same time didn't work out perfectly but we got some pretty cute pictures still!

Addie really didn't want her hat to blow off!

What a beautiful Sunday morning!

The Girls!
We were so glad G. Gram was able to be here! She had a stomach bug earlier in the week but luckily recovered in time to come celebrate with us!!

After lunch - the Easter egg hunt commenced! I think Mimi and I got a little carried away...we probably hid 200 eggs just for the two girls. It was pretty hilarious! We found three more just yesterday! We may be finding them for months!

The girls said they were using their "Super Eyes" to find them!!

Addison on the hunt! She was so funny, at first she'd only pick up the "pretty" eggs! I told her we had too many to get to be picky!! She finally got after it!

Vivian raced all over the yard! She has the egg hunting down!

Vivian resting with her G after the hunt! Can you see how red her sweet face was?

The girls had to keep emptying their baskets into large sacks because they had so many eggs. This is Addie using her "strong muscles" to hold up her bag of eggs!
After the kids finished Mimi hid eggs in the front yard for all the "big kids" (Mandy and Adam, Rhett and I) She hid them hard and we still can't find one of them. They were partially buried, under rocks, piled under leaves, etc. As we were searching for them, we kept reassuring each other that the snakes weren't out quite yet. It wasn't until later that afternoon when Mimi and G were leaving that G ran over a rattlesnake!! The remaining egg may be in the yard for a while - I don't think we're going to dig for it until winter!!!
