We went to the doctor the week after Christmas.
She was 23 1/2 inches long and weighed 12 lbs. 9 oz.!
She's already caught up to her sisters that started at 9 lbs!
I noticed one day that her head was leaning to the left a little. At first I thought it was that cute thing babies do with their floppy necks but then I realized she always leaned the same way and was resistant when I tried to hold her head straight. I debated between thinking I was crazy and really being bothered by it. I prayed that if this was something silly God would take it out of my mind but if it was something I needed to check out he would continue to press it heavy on my heart. God answered me by having it continue to nag at me until I called our pediatrician. He diagnosed her with torticollis. It is fairly common and can be 100% correctable if caught early.
So we have started physical therapy. God is so good!! I love our therapist. She is a mother of three grown daughters and now has 7 grand kids (2 of which she treated for torticollis)! We go once a week for 2 months and then we'll re-evaluate. She said this was a very mild case and was shocked we'd even caught it already - Again GOD IS GOOD!!!
Emerlyn is the happiest baby! She is smiling all the time, sleeping through the night and loves to snuggle and be held!! We are so in love with her!
