December has been filled with fun getting ready for Christmas. The girls are at such a great age and I have so enjoyed seeing Christmas through their eyes this year!
For Addison's Spirit Day at school they were suppose to dress up as one of the people/animals from the nativity scene. Addie was so excited to be a lamb!
We've had lots of time to play as a family. Here are a couple of my favorite pictures.
We have a new family member this year - not Emerlyn but Merry Christmas Elf Laubach - our Elf on the Shelf. The girls named him all by themselves.

The first three mornings the girls woke up at 5:30 to "find" him! I almost sent him packing but they finally got used to it enough to sleep in like normal.
Vivian spelled her name and Addison's for him so that he could be sure and write it on the nice list! She told Addie that they would have to be good everywhere because he can see really far - like all the way to Colorado!
Addison sang him Jingle Bells during breakfast the first morning!
Our annual tradition of making a Gingerbread House was a little bit of a disaster this year but we still managed to have fun! The girls and I were putting the house together and right about the time Vivian said "Mommy, You are really good at building gingerbread houses" the roof started sliding off and while holding Emerlyn in one hand I used the other to try and put it back in place but instead managed to break the roof in two! We decided the gingerbread people would rather look at the stars anyway and it's easier to do without a roof!
